STC factions’ bullets destroy alternative power plant in Aden

ADEN, Sept. 03 (YPA) – The alternative power station for electricity established by the UAE in the city of Aden is threatened with a final shutdown in the coming days, informed sources reported on Tuesday.

The sources reported that 198 panels of the station were damaged as a result of being hit by hundreds of returning gunfire since its opening in mid-July.

According to the sources, the power station was being destroyed indirectly as a result of the continuous firing of gunfire in a random manner by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions in various areas surrounding the station.

This comes at a time when Aden is witnessing unprecedented security chaos with the spread of factions loyal to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others in the city since the beginning of 2016.

The basic services are witnessing an unprecedented collapse in Aden, including water, as a result of the continued power outage for hours in many areas due to the lack of fuel for generating stations.
