STC militia members accused of kidnaping woman, her three children in Abyan

ABYAN, Sept. 01 (YPA) – A woman and her three children were kidnapped by unknown individuals believed to be affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions in the Khanfir district of Abyan governorate, southern Yemen.

Recent social media reports indicate that “Soad Ahmed Mohammed Al-Baahzi” and her children—six-month-old Fatima, five-year-old Mohammed, and four-year-old Fatima—were abducted in Khadr, which is under the control of the STC factions.

The abduction of the mother and her children is seen as a troubling phenomenon that threatens security and social peace in Abyan.

Activists have urged the residents of Khanfir and Abyan to search for the woman and her children and to identify those responsible for the kidnapping.
