SANAA, Aug. 31 (YPA) – Yemen’s armed forces declared on Saturday it had targeted the ship ‘GROTON’ in the Gulf of Aden, south of Yemen.
Military spokesman Brigadier General Yahiya Saree said in a televised statement that the ship was accurately targeted, after it violated the decision to ban entry into the ports of occupied Palestine.
“This is the second targeting of the ship after it was targeted on August 3,” the spokesman said.
He affirmed that the Yemeni armed forces have succeeded in preventing Israeli navigation across the Red Sea, as well as enforce a decision to ban navigation in the declared area of operations on all Israeli enemy-linked ships, regardless of their destination, or ships belonging to companies related to this enemy.
“The Yemeni armed forces confirm the continuation of its naval operations in its area of operations, as well as the continuation of its support for the valiant Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank until the aggression on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is stopped and the siege is lifted,” the spokesman added.
