9 Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces in West Bank

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Aug. 28 (YPA) – At least nine Palestinians were killed and 11 others were injured by the Israeli occupation forces during a large-scale military operation in the northern West Bank, especially in the governorates of Jenin, Tubas and Tulkarm, amid a siege on hospitals and systematic destruction of infrastructure.

Helicopters, drones and a large number of military vehicles reinforced with bulldozers participated in the ongoing aggression in the northern West Bank.

The occupation forces imposed a siege on the cities and deliberately hindered the work of ambulance teams, preventing them from reaching the injured in the targeted areas.

According to the sources, four young Palestinians at dawn were killed and several others were injured following a drone strike by Israeli occupation forces on the Al-Far’a refugee camp, located south of Tubas.

In Jenin, large forces of the occupation army stormed the city from Jalameh military checkpoint, and stationed in the vicinity of Jenin Governmental and Ibn Sina hospitals, amid violent clashes, which resulted in the martyrdom of the two young men Qassam Muhammad Jabarin (25 years) and Asim Walid Dabaya (39 years), and wounding others.

Moreover, three young Palestinians were killed early this morning when an Israeli drone targeted their vehicle near the village of Misilya, southeast of Jenin.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), their teams retrieved the bodies of the three victims from the vehicle. The bodies are currently being transported to a hospital.

The PRCS also reported difficulties in reaching the casualties due to the camp’s blockade by Israeli occupation forces, which have been preventing ambulances from accessing the area and obstructing rescue operations.

The Israeli military had previously raided the camp with a large number of infantry soldiers, followed by additional military reinforcements including a bulldozer. Snipers were reportedly deployed extensively inside and around the camp, and the area was heavily patrolled by drones.

In Tulkarm, the occupation forces launched a major offensive in the city last night, besieging hospitals and blocking movement of Palestinians into and out of the city.,

According to the sources, military vehicles stationed themselves around the Al-Israa Specialized Hospital in the western neighborhood and the Shahid Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital. The forces imposed a blockade that hindered ambulance movements.

The occupation forces spread through various neighborhoods and intersections of the city, including Nablus Street, the Iktaba Roundabout, the Rashid neighborhood in the Thanabeh area, and the Nur Shams refugee camp.

There was a significant presence of infantry and snipers in the surrounding fields and farms, accompanied by low-flying reconnaissance drones.

Additionally, the Israeli occupation forces deployed four heavy bulldozers supported by other military vehicles into the city. The bulldozers also razed infrastructure and water networks around the Al-Alami Roundabout, closing the area with earthen barriers.

They further damaged the area around the Younis Roundabout in the northern part of Tulkarm.

A drone strike further targeted a location in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood of the Nur Shams camp, resulting in injuries to civilians.
