Two dead, three injured in Hajjah by lightning strikes, house collapses due to heavy rain

HAJJAH, Aug. 27 (YPA) – Two individuals lost their lives and three others were injured on Monday as a result of lightning strikes and house collapses due to heavy rainfall in Hajjah province.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mulhani, head of the Emergency Operations Room in the governorate, told Yemen News Agency (SABA) that Hassan Muhammad Saghir Haddad died, and Badr Hassan Muhammad Muzai was injured in the Aslam District as a result of a lightning strike.

He added that Aisha Nasser Ali Sanaa died when her house collapsed in Al-Jumayma District.

Additionally, a woman and a child were injured when two houses collapsed in the Sa’saa area in the center of the governorate.

Another resident was injured in Aflah Al-Yemen District due to the collapse of a house caused by the heavy rains.
