Shabwa’s tribes give STC 8-day deadline to reveal fate of detainees in secret prisons

SHABWA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Laqmoush tribes in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen, have set an eight-day deadline for the factions loyal to the UAE to reveal the fate of tribe members who have been hidden in Aden’s secret prisons for eight years.

In a statement issued Monday, the Laqmoush tribes demanded that the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) reveal the fate of their kidnapped sons, Saleh Saeed Al-Qumaishi and his brother Muhammad Saeed Al-Qumaishi, and to release them immediately.

The tribes announced their readiness to escalate if they did not receive any response from the concerned authorities in revealing the fate of the tribe members hidden in secret prisons.

The statement expressed the solidarity of the Laqmoush tribes with the tribes of Abyan province regarding revealing the fate of the hidden Ali Ashal Al-Jaadani.

The Yemeni areas under the control of the coalition are witnessing an unprecedented movement to uncover the fate of those hidden in the secret prisons run by the UAE-pro STC factions.
