Sanaa stresses need to enhance economic cooperation with Russia, BRICS countries

SANAA, Aug. 18 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, emphasized on Sunday the need to boost economic cooperation between Yemen and Russia in particular and the key BRICS countries in general.

This came during his meeting with the Prime Minister’s Advisor for BRICS Affairs, Fouad Al-Ghafari.

Dr. Bin Habtoor considered that the 96th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Yemen and Russia, which falls on November 1st of each year, is an opportunity to consolidate contemporary Yemeni-Russian relations in various political, economic, and cultural fields.

He called for giving the BRICS file the importance it deserves, especially in light of the global change in which everyone is witnessing the alliance of the countries of justice and resistance in combating the Zionist imperialist project of colonialism and subjugation.
