STC militants kidnap one of Ashal march organizers in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 13 (YPA) – Members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) kidnapped one of the most prominent organizers of Ali Ashal million-man march at the beginning of this August in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Informed human rights sources in the city said, “STC’s elements kidnapped the leader of the Southern Movement, Muhammad Salem Al-Rabiaie, one of the prominent organizers of the demonstration demanding the disclosure of the kidnapped and forcibly hidden Ali Ashal Al-Jaadani.”

The sources added that the Security-belt militants abducted Al-Rabiaie while he was at the Al-Fursan Hotel in the al-Mansoura area and took him to Al-Nassr Prison of the Security-belt.

According to the sources, Al-Rabiaie was severely beaten after he refused to open his personal phone without a legal basis other than his participation in organizing the “Ashal march,” which demanded revealing the fate of abductees and forcibly disappeared people from Aden and the southern governorates in the STC prisons supervised by Emirati officers since 2016.
