UAE reveals dangerous Saudi plot in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 12 (YPA) – The UAE made accused against Saudi Arabia of planning to end the “southern Transitional Council (STC) factions, including Al-Qaeda.

Khaled Al-Shamiri, the head of the Center for Political Studies in Abu Dhabi, confirmed that “Saudi Arabia is working in support of the financing of what it called “shops, councils, and political components” to overthrow the STC.

“Saudi Arabia stands with all its strength to support the Islah Party, the “Brotherhood”, and elements of Al-Qaeda against the Transitional Council in the southern governorates, he said in a post on X.

Saudi Arabia established the so-called Dera al-Watan forces by decision of the coalition-formed head of the Presidential Leadership Council” at the beginning of 2023, as a parallel force to the Emirates-affiliated factions in the southern provinces with the aim of restoring its presence in the political and military scene in a number of areas that it had lost during the past years.
