Meteorology expects scattered rains to fall on several provinces

SANAA, Aug. 09 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning on Friday expected rains of varying intensity to fall on several provinces.

In its weather bulletin, the center reported that the rains may continue to fall, accompanied by thunderstorms and descending winds with hail falling, on parts of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Rayma, Ibb, Dhalea and Hodeida and parts of the highlands and plain of Tihama.

It also expected the scattered rains in parts of the provinces of Taiz, Bayda, the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra, Jawf and Marib, and parts of the southern and eastern coasts.

The center urged citizens in areas where rain may be expected to fall to take precautions and be careful not to be in valleys and torrents during and after rainfall.

It called on motorists to drive on mountainous roads as a result of the low horizontal visibility and rainfall and the formation of low clouds.
