SANAA, Aug. 05 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled launched the process of disbursing the first batch of educational aid for the disabled students for the academic year 2023-2024.
Dr. Ali Nasser Mughli, executive director of the fund, confirmed that the mount of 246, 651, 200 riyals as the educational aid was disbursed to target about 2,469 male and female students with disabilities, including students with disabilities in areas outside the control of the Sanaa government in Taiz.
He added that the disbursement of the first installment for the same year included 544 of them in areas outside the Sanaa government in Taiz, amounting to 47 million riyals, in addition to 21 million and 710 thousand riyals was disbursed as university dues.
Dr. Mughli explained that the Fund’s management is keen to send financial aid in the names of students according to their database for guarantee that educational aid reaches them personally, away from repetition, duplication, or tampering with their entitlements.
He stated that transferring educational aid to students with disabilities is a legal and moral obligation of the Fund’s management to fulfill their rights to alleviate the financial burdens that target the students.
