Torrential rains cause significant damage to homes, properties in Taiz

TAIZ, Aug. 03 (YPA) – Torrential rain and flooding have caused significant damage to homes and properties in the districts of Maqbana and Shara’b Ar Rawnah in western Taiz governorate on Friday.

Local sources reported that more than ten homes have been partially or completely damaged by the rains.

Additionally, the floods have washed away the “Hayjat al-Awja” mosque in Maqbana, as well as partially eroding a cemetery.

The floods have also cut off several roads, isolated areas, and washed away palm and mango farms.

It was noted that the neighboring district of Shara’b Ar Rawnah also experienced similar damage due to the heavy rains and devastating floods.
