Israeli occupation forces detain preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque

QUDS, Aug. 02 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces today detained former Grand Mufti and main preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ekrema Sabri, from his home in occupied city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem), according to Palestinian media.

“The Israeli occupation forces detained Sheikh Ekrema Sabri after raiding his home in the al-Sawana neighborhood, in occupied Jerusalem,” Sabri’s lawyer stated.

He further noted that there is no legal reason for Sheikh Ikrima Sabri’s detention, which comes after a campaign of incitement against him.”

The preacher was led to the Al-Moskobiya interrogation and detention center in Jerusalem.
