Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi: Work is underway to respond to assassination of resistance leaders

SANAA, Aug. 01 (YPA) – The leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, said on Thursday that the assassination of the resistance leaders, Ismail Haniyeh and Fouad Shukr, is a dangerous Israeli and American escalation.

In his speech on the latest developments Thursday evening, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi stressed that the position of the axis of resistance is clear and that “a military response must be made to the serious crimes and major Israeli escalation.”

He pointed out that there are clear and declared positions from the Islamic Republic of Iran and the rest of the resistance axis, and “the work is underway to respond.”

Sayyed Abdulmalik indicated that the Israeli escalation is linked to Netanyahu’s visit to Washington and the American movement in the Gulf and the Mediterranean.

“The American is a clear partner and at the same time a deceiver, talking about the necessity of preventing the expansion of the war and then providing support and participating with the Israeli enemy to expand it,” he said.

He added that “the American gives the Zionist enemy the opportunity to do whatever he wants, then says that he does not want escalation and wants self-control.”

Sayyed Abdulmalik stated that there are intensive and great efforts in an attempt to contain the reaction to targeting the martyrs of the nation, Haniyeh and Shukr, to protect the Israelis.

“The Europeans are trying to put political and diplomatic pressure on Iran so that its response is symbolic as they say and to the extent that the Israelis desire,” he explained.
