Funeral ceremony for Ismail Haniyeh held in Tehran

TEHRAN, Aug. 01 (YPA) – A funeral ceremony held today in the Iranian capital, Tehran, for Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

Ismail Haniyeh was cowardly assassination by the Zionist entity on Wednesday, while he was visiting Tehran to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian president, Masoud Bezhkishian.

It is scheduled that a funeral prayer will be performed by the Supreme Leader of Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, for the body of the martyr Haniyeh.

The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran had announced in a statement a three-day national mourning period, following the assassination.
