WASHINGTON, July 31 (YPA) – The United States of America sent large reinforcements to its forces in the Mediterranean Sea on Wednesday amid anticipation of a joint response against Israeli aggression that targeted Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran.
American media sources reported that the Department of Defense ordered the battleships “USS Wasp, USS Oak Hill, and USS New York” in addition to 2,500 soldiers to set off towards the eastern Mediterranean near Lebanon.
The move reflects fears about the expected size of the response to the recent aggression against Arab and Islamic countries.
The US administration had anticipated the military move to defend Israel from any expected response from Hezbollah.
The Israeli occupation had escalated its war by assassinating Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh after targeting him in the Iranian capital, Tehran, last night, and launched an aggression during the evening hours last week that targeted the Lebanese and Iranian capitals in addition to Iraq.
