SANAA, July 28 (YPA) – Sanaa-based Foreign Minister, Hisham Sharaf, called on all neighboring countries to trust that Sanaa would be serious about achieving lasting peace for its peoples and regimes.
This came in news statements by the minister Sharaf on the reports circulating about the efforts of some countries in the region and other areas of the world to sign security agreements with major countries in order to ensure their security and peace.
“These countries should not link the completion of confidence-building measures, addressing urgent humanitarian and economic issues and reaching a comprehensive peaceful political settlement with any other files, and should begin establishing bilateral relations based on the principles of non-interference in internal affairs and mutual benefits between these peoples and countries, which guarantees the security and safety of the countries of the region, takes away from the illusions of major countries protecting them,” he added.
Sharaf stressed that the existence of a stable and prosperous Yemen that meets the ambitions and aspirations of the Yemeni people does not pose a threat to any party, but rather is a factor of security and stability for all countries in the region.
“Yemen is an integral and indivisible part of the Gulf region and the Arabian Peninsula, and has capable of working with all countries in the region to achieve collective security,” the minister stated.
