Two shooting attacks target Israeli occupation forces in Jenin, Nablus

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, July 27 (YPA) – Two shooting attacks targeting Israeli military checkpoints took place in Jenin and Beit Furik, east of Nablus in the West Bank, Palestinian media reported on Saturday that

The media stated that at 4:45 AM, Palestinian militants fired at the Beit Furik checkpoint near Nablus.

Al-Quds Brigades – Nablus Brigade announced that they, along with the Al-Qassam Brigades and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, carried out a shooting operation targeting the Israeli army at the Beit Furik checkpoint, resulting in direct hits.

Following the shooting at the Beit Furik checkpoint, Israeli forces conducted a widespread deployment around the checkpoint, the town of Salem, and the eastern area of Nablus.

At 5:15 AM, it was reported that a heavy barrage of bullets was fired at the Jalameh checkpoint in Jenin, with no reports of casualties.

Prior to the shooting, Israeli forces had raided the town of Kafr Rai south of Jenin.

According to the Hebrew website “Walla”, a person was killed by Israeli forces in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya, allegedly for attempting to run over officers with a vehicle.

The Israeli police stated that “a vehicle accelerated towards the police and border guard officers in Issawiya, East Jerusalem. One of the soldiers felt threatened and fired at the suspect who was driving the vehicle, neutralizing him.”
