WHO warns of epidemics outbreak in Gaza after discovery of polio virus

GAZA, July 23 (YPA) – A senior official at the World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday warned of a possible epidemics outbreak in Gaza after the discovery of the polio virus in sewage.

Ayadil Saparbekov, the World Health Organization’s head of health emergencies in the occupied Palestinian territories, was “extremely worried” over health emergencies in the occupied Palestinian territories, and said that the number of people who may have to be evacuated from the Gaza Strip to receive medical care has reached about 14,000.
