Sultanate of Oman condemns Israeli aggression against Yemen

MUSCAT, July 21 (YPA) – The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on Sunday the Sultanate of Oman’s condemnation of the Israeli military attacks on the Republic of Yemen, considering it a new escalation of tension in the region.

The Ministry confirmed in a statement on Sunday that this Israeli aggression represents a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian norms and hinders efforts to calm, end conflicts in the region, and achieve the desired peace.

The Sultanate of Oman called on the international community to live up to its responsibilities, to maintain regional and international peace and security, and to take decisive action to protect civilians and ensure the arrival of urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The statement stressed the importance of addressing the root and real causes of the conflict and focusing on dialogue and negotiation as a means to achieve sustainable solutions, on the basis of international law, which must apply to all parties without discrimination or double standards.
