SANAA, July 18 (YPA) – The strong winds may hit the eastern and southern coasts and Socotra, with hot weather targeting deserts, plains and coastal areas The National Center of Meteorology expected on Thursday.
The center affirmed in its weather forecast that the possibility of very strong winds around the Socotra Archipelago, reaching a maximum speed of 50 knots, and moderate to strong winds on the Gulf of Aden and the eastern and southern coasts, ranging its speeds between 24 to 34 knots during the day.
Accoring to the center, the scattered rains would be prevailed over parts of the provinces of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Bayda, Abyan, Lahj, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, in addition to parts of Mahra, Shabwa, Marib and Jawf deserts.
It also expected scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, in parts of the Sanaa, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, parts of the Tihama Plain, and the eastern and western coasts, and the Gulf of Aden.
