Growing pressure on Biden to withdraw his presidential race

WORLD, July 13 (YPA) -A group of 24 former Democratic congress members sent a letter to President Joe Biden urging him to withdraw from the presidential race.

The letter stated: “President Biden would best serve his beloved country by allowing other Democrats to compete for the presidency. We strongly encourage him to take this step.”

The letter warned Biden that his participation in the presidential race could not only result in his defeat and Donald Trump’s victory but could also undermine Democratic positions in Congress and local legislative bodies.

Pressure on Biden from his Democratic Party to withdraw from the November presidential race is increasing following his poor performance in the debate with Donald Trump.

From internal party pressures to media demands, both the editorial boards of the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal have called for Biden to exit the presidential race.

The New York Times reported that Biden’s deteriorating condition has significantly worsened in recent months, becoming increasingly concerning, especially after his failed debate with Trump.
