Britain’s new Foreign Secretary calls for “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza

LONDON, July 06 (YPA) – The new British Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, called for an “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza in his first position after his appointment today (Friday), according to what was published by “Agence France-Presse.”

Lammy, who took over the foreign ministry after the workers won the legislative elections yesterday (Thursday), said that he “will work to support an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of the hostages.”

He added, “I will do everything in my power to help US President Joe Biden reach a ceasefire.”
