White House plans staff meeting amid concerns over Biden’s condition

WORLD, July 03 (YPA) – The Wall Street Journal confirmed that the White House will hold a meeting for all its staff, chaired by White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, to discuss President Joe Biden’s condition.

According to the newspaper, following the disastrous debate with Donald Trump, the Biden team has intensified efforts to reassure donors and Democratic lawmakers.

The newspaper added, “White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients is scheduled to hold a phone meeting with all staff at 12:30 local time.”

Zients himself is considered part of Biden’s inner circle and maintains constant contact with Democratic leader in the US Senate Chuck Schumer to ensure party members’ support for the American President.

In addition, the White House Chief of Staff evaluates the overall situation in the country and assesses the mood among American officials.

Joe Biden’s family accused his advisors of causing his failure in the presidential debate with former President Donald Trump, as reported by Politico citing sources.

US media outlets agreed that Biden’s performance was weak in the first debate with his predecessor Trump, held Friday evening in Atlanta, where the American President stumbled and paused frequently, often failing to articulate his ideas clearly.

At the end of the event, television cameras captured the moment when his wife Jill Biden helped him down the stairs.

Following this debate, voices among politicians and journalists speculated about the possibility of Democrats abandoning Biden as a contender for the position and replacing him with another candidate.

A second debate between Biden and Trump is scheduled for September 10, preceding the US presidential elections set for November 5, 2024.
