Yemen military launches missile attack against ships in Mediterranean, Arabian Sea

SANAA, May 29 (YPA) – Yemen’s armed forces declared on Wednesday it had carried out six military operations against six ships in the Red, Arabian and Mediterranean Seas, for violating the decision to ban access to the ports of occupied Palestine.

Army spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie said in a military statement that the first ship ‘LAAX’, second ship ‘MOREA’ and third ‘Sealady’ were directly targeted in the Red Sea, with a number of naval and ballistic missiles and drones.

The spokesman confirmed the American ships ‘ALBA’ and ‘Maersk HARTFOFD’ were attacked in the Arabian Sea with a number of missiles and drones, while the ship ‘MINERVA ANTONIA’ was targeted with a number of winged missiles in the Mediterranean Sea.

He pointed out that these operations come as a triumph for the oppressed Palestinian people and in a response to the crimes that the Zionist enemy’s committing against the displaced people in the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip, and also within the framework of expanding military operations in the fourth phase of escalation.

“With the help of Allah Almighty, the Yemeni armed forces, in the face of the continued Israeli crimes against our brothers in the Gaza Strip, will not hesitate to target all ships that deal with the Israeli entity in the declared area of operations, and regardless of their destination,” Brigadier General Sarie warned.

The spokesman saluted the heroic Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip and all the free people who supported it in Lebanon and Iraq, stressing the continuation of their military operations until the aggression is stopped and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted.
