BOGOTA, May 23 (YPA) – Colombia announced on Thursday its intention to open an embassy in Ramallah city in the occupied West Bank, after it severed its diplomatic relations with the Israeli occupation.
Colombian Foreign Minister Luis Murillo told reporters that the procedures for opening the embassy in Palestine have begun, and that President Gustavo Petro issued his instructions to open the embassy.
Murillo explained that the decision to recognize the State of Palestine “is not against Israel or the Jews.” Palestine must be recognized as a complete state.”
