Yemen’s deserts, coasts experience extremely hot weather reaching 32 degrees Celsius

SANAA, May 23 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected on Thursday hot to very hot weather in deserts, inland plateaus, and coastal plains, with maximum temperatures ranging between 37 and 42 degrees Celsius.

In its weather bulletin on Thursday, the Center warned citizens in desert areas, inland plateaus, and coastal plains of the hot weather and advised against direct exposure to the sun’s rays during the afternoon.

Rains with thunder storms were also expected in parts of the provinces of Taiz, Dhalea, Ibb, Dhamar, and Hajjah, and scattered rain in parts of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Mahweet, Raymah, and Lahj, as well as parts of the Tihama Plain and the highlands adjacent to it.

The center warned citizens of the flow of rainwater in the valleys and of their presence there during and after the rain.
