Iran’s armed forces investigate into causes of president’s plane crash

TEHRAN, May 20 (YPA) – Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri, ordered the opening of an investigation into the causes of the Iranian President’s helicopter accident yesterday, Sunday.

The Iranian “Mehr” Agency reported that Major General Bagheri, in the early hours of Monday morning, assigned a high-level delegation to open an investigation into the causes of the Iranian President’s helicopter crash, which arrived at the scene of the accident in East Azerbaijan and began investigating the accident.

The Iranian President’s helicopter and his accompanying delegation were involved in an accident when it was transporting them in the airspace of East Azerbaijan Province.
