Meteorology warns of heat-wave targeting desert, coastal areas

SANAA, May 19 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology expected a heat-wave targeting in desert and coastal areas, as maximum temperatures soared between 37-42 degrees Celsius.

in its weather bulletin on Sunday, the center affirmed that rains may prevail over parts of the provinces of Mahweet, Hajjah, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, and Socotra, in addition, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Dhalea, Abyan, Shawa, and Lahj.

The center warned citizens in the desert areas and western coastal plains against the heat wave and the burning sunshine.
