SANAA, May 13 (YPA) – Foreign exchange rates continued on Monday to rise in the city of Aden and the southern and eastern Yemeni provinces, amid a continuing and rapid collapse of the local currency since the end of last week.
Banking sources indicated that the selling price of the dollar in the city of Aden and the other southern and eastern provinces reached 1,700 riyals, while the exchange rate of the Saudi riyal reached 447.5 Yemeni riyals.
The sources noted that the exchange rate of the dollar in Sanaa and the provinces under the control of the Supreme Political Council when buying remained stable at 530 riyals and 139.70 riyals to the Saudi riyal.
