Dollar price approaches 1,700 riyal barrier in Aden, southern provinces

SANAA, May 11 (YPA) – The local currency continued on Saturday to collapse rapidly against foreign currencies in Aden and the southern and eastern Yemeni provinces, where the dollar trading price exceeded the barrier of 1698 riyals.

Banking sources revealed today that the selling price of the dollar in the city of Aden and the other southern and eastern provinces reached 1,698 riyals and 1,688 riyals for purchasing, while the exchange rate of the Saudi riyal in Aden ranged between 445.50 and 447 Yemeni riyals.

The sources indicated that the exchange rate of the dollar in Sanaa and the provinces under the control of the Supreme Political Council when buying remained stable at 530 riyals to the dollar, selling 534 riyals, and buying and selling of the Saudi riyal between 139.70 and 140.30 riyals.
