3 academic departments at Shabwa University closed

SHABWA, May 11 (YPA) – Faculty of Education at Shabwa University, which is under the control of Saudi-led coalition, has announced shocking reasons for closing three academic departments at the university.

It confirmed that the closure of the “Arabic Language, History, and Geography” departments in the Faculty of Education. The closure of these departments was due to the lack of enrollment by any students, in addition to a decrease in the number of applicants for study in various university specialties.

 The reluctance of students to pursue higher education was attributed to the widespread recruitment of youth by Emirati factions, on one hand, and the cessation of pro-coalition government employment after graduation, on the other.

 It pointed out that the closure of academic departments represents a severe loss to education in Shabwa and portends a bleak future for young people, especially amid the difficult circumstances the country is going through.

 The UAE pushes thousands of ordinary Shabwa residents to join its extremist Salafist factions, exploiting their financial situation to involve them in futile wars in favor of the Zionist-American project in the region.
