Yemeni riyal hits new low against foreign currencies in southern provinces

SANAA, May 09 (YPA) – The city of Aden and the southern and eastern provinces under the control of the Saudi-led coalition witnessed on Thursday a crazy rise in foreign currency prices.

Banking sources revealed that the selling price of the US dollar in Aden and the southern and eastern provinces recorded 1,698 riyals, while the price of the Saudi riyal reached 447 Yemeni riyals.

The sources indicated that the US dollar exchange rate in Sanaa and the provinces under the control of the Supreme Political Council remained stable at 533 riyals and 140.30 riyals to the Saudi riyal.
