US, Saudi Arabia discuss deal to strengthen bilateral defense

WASHIGNTON, May 05 (YPA) – US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan affirmed that the United States would not sign a defense agreement with Saudi Arabia only if the kingdom normalizes relations with the Israeli occupation, the British “Financial Times reported.

Sullivan explained that “the two issues are part of a comprehensive vision and cannot be separated.”

last Thursday , Bloomberg reported, citing informed sources, that Saudi Arabia and the United States may conclude a defense agreement in the coming weeks, which also means the normalization of the Kingdom’s diplomatic relations with the occupation.

Earlier, the United States announced that it was “very close” to reaching an agreement on the bilateral part of the potential package deal with Saudi Arabia, which should include normalization with Israel entity.
