Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi condemns US brutality against pro-Gaza student protests
SANAA, May 02 (YPA) – Leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, condemned on Thursday the barbaric and brutal treatment by the American authorities against the student protests in US universities demanding an end to the aggression on Gaza.
This came during his weekly speech to talk about the latest developments in the regional and international arena, especially the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi considered that the American authorities’ handling of the awakening of conscience of the students of American universities falls within America’s brutal behavior to expose the falsehood of the headlines of humanity, human rights, freedom of expression that Washington and Western countries sing about.
The leader al-Houthi stressed that US wants the genocide to continue in Gaza by its support to “Israel” without restrictions and the rejection of the ceasefire.
Sayyed al-Houthi explained that student protests in 79 American universities for two weeks have moved with their activity expanding to other universities for demanding an end to the aggression against Gaza.
He pointed out that the Student Uprising began through more than 120 student organizations, including “Elite” Universities in America, extending to European universities, which have sparked the madness of entities and organizations supporting the Israeli enemy, noting that Netanyahu described them as “Nazis.”
“The world is witnessing the extent of cruelty, excessive violence, and attempts at humiliation and intimidation during the arrest of defenseless students and some university professors in America,” the leader Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi said. “The arrests and intimidation operations in American universities are more like a military attack on male and female students by dozens of thugs.”
He affirmed that handcuffing and insulting a woman, who is holding the rank of professor, has revealed American deception and lip service to rights and freedoms, explaining that the American authorities intimidated students at some universities, using the rubber bullets and helicopters.
Sayyed al-Houthi expressed deep regret at the absence of activity in most Arab countries similar to US university students, adding that the silence applied in most Arab countries is shameful and completely inconsistent with the nature of belonging to Islam and human responsibility.
