Capital Sanaa, other Yemeni provinces witness sporadic rains of varying intensity

SANAA, April 30 (YPA) – The capital, Sanaa, witnessed on Tuesday afternoon sporadic rains of varying intensity.

The Center of Meteorology and Early Warning had predicted, in its expected weather bulletin today, rain of varying intensity, sometimes interspersed with thunder, in parts of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, Sanaa, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Bayda, and Lahj.

Moderate to heavy thunderstorms were also expected on the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, and the coasts of the Al-Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, and Abyan provinces, as well as sea turbulence around the archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, the southern Red Sea, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.

The center renewed its warnings to seafarers and fishermen around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, the southern Red Sea, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, regarding high waves and sea turbulence.

It also warned citizens in areas where rain is expected of the flow of torrents into reefs and valleys and advised them not to cross them or be in their streams and not to cross land bridges.
