WORLD, April 30 (YPA) – At least seven people were killed and another injured in an attack carried out by armed assailants on a mosque in the Herat province, western Afghanistan, spokesperson for the Afghan government said on Tuesday.
The spokesman for the Interior Ministry, Abdul Matin Qani, wrote on his “X” account: “At around 21:00 (16:30 GMT) on Monday night, an unknown gunman opened fire on civilian worshippers at a mosque in the Guzara area west of Herat city.”
He added: “Seven civilians were killed and another injured.”
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
