UN official in Gaza: 200 humanitarian workers killed during Israeli occupation

GAZA, April 29 (YPA) – The United Nations Chief Humanitarian Coordinator in the Gaza Strip Sigrid Kaag announced on Monday that 200 humanitarian employees have been killed during the Israeli war on the Strip, which is a “record number.”
The UN official added, “The Palestinians in the Gaza Strip suffer from a severe lack of food security, and work must be done to bring more humanitarian aid into the Strip.”
Kaag urged that work must be done to avoid a wave of diseases spreading in Gaza.
“We must work on a two-state solution as a humanitarian necessity,” she said, stressing, “We must work to restore the Palestinian Authority’s capabilities to achieve stability.”
The United Nations announced at the beginning of April that more than 7,000 Palestinians had “likely” died under the rubble of buildings in the Gaza Strip since October 7.
The Israeli occupation army has continued its bombing of many areas in the Gaza Strip since October 7, causing massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of children and the elderly, according to Palestinian and UN data.
