Tasks of forming ‘Supreme Political Bureau’ in Aden disclosed

ADEN, April 23 (YPA) – Informed sources have revealed details of a plan to form “Supreme Political Bureau” in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition, signaling the onset of a new phase of confrontation between the Emirati and Saudi factions.

According to the sources, the Southern resistance leader Abdul Nasser al-Bawa ‘Abu Hammam’, is about to announce the formation of the “Supreme Political Bureau of the Resistance” to complete the role in announcing the so-called “Statement Number One” with the aim of returning Yemen to the pre-unification state before May 1990.

It is noteworthy that al-Bawa represents the chaotic wing of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Aden, amid expectations of an escalation against pro-coalition government with a green light from the head of the STC,  Aidarus al-Zoubaidi.

It is expected that the collapse of electricity services in Aden will ignite the conflict between the STC factions and the Saudi-backed factions tasked to protect Rashad al-Alimi and Ahmed bin Mubarak, the latter of whom is located in the al-Maashiq Palace in Crater.

Saudi activists in February 2023 accused al-Bawa of being behind the kidnapping of the Saudi deputy consul in Aden, Abdullah Mohammed Khalifa Al-Khalidi, in 2012, as well as his affiliation with Al-Qaeda.
