Israeli occupation army carries out executions of medical personnel, patients at Al-Shifa Medical Complex
GAZA, April 18 (YPA) – Gaza Strip’s Ministry of Health spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said on Thursday that the Israeli army “deliberately committed brutal massacres and carried out direct executions” of medical staff and patients at Al-Shifa Medical Complex and hospitals in northern Gaza.
Al-Qudra added, “The occupation deliberately destroyed the health system in the Gaza and North Gaza regions,” noting that “the destruction of the Shifa Medical Complex constituted a devastating blow to the health system in Gaza.”
He stated that more than 730,000 people in the Gaza and North Gaza regions are without real health services. “We demand that field hospitals and international multi-specialized medical teams be provided to the Gaza and North Gaza regions.”
“We need surgical field hospitals with a capacity of 200 beds and including operating rooms, intensive care, laboratory, and diagnostic services to meet the needs of the population in the Gaza and North Gaza regions,” he said.
The Ministry’s spokesman confirmed: “We lost specialized medical personnel who formed the backbone of medical services, including examining tumor samples, kidney transplantation, and others.”
The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated yesterday, Wednesday, that the death toll from the Israeli aggression had risen to 33,899 deaths and 76,664 injuries since October 7.
Since October 7, the Israeli army has continued its bombing of various areas of the Gaza Strip, of which about 85% of its population has been displaced, according to the Gaza authorities and international bodies and organizations.
