Sanaa: Iran’s military strike against Zionist entity falls under right to self-defense
SANAA, April 14 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa considered the military strike directed by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the Zionist entity as legitimate, legal, and consistent with international law and the Charter of the United Nations, as it fell under the right to self-defense.
The Ministry explained in a statement issued Sunday that “the countries supporting the Zionist entity must give priority to the language of reason, put the interests of their countries and peoples in mind, and stop their unlimited political, military, financial, and logistical support for the Zionist entity, which conflicts with the demands of those peoples.”
The statement stated that Zionist intransigence and the war crimes and genocide committed by the Zionist entity against civilians, especially in the Gaza Strip, increase tension in the Middle East region, “which will not stop at its borders but will reach many capitals.”
The Ministry stressed the significance of the Security Council fulfilling its duties in accordance with the United Nations Charter for the preservation of international peace and security.
