Thousands of Jordanians rally in Amman in support of Palestine

AMMAN, March 16 (YPA) – Thousands of Jordanians participated in a mass rally in support of people in the Gaza Strip which has been under Israeli attacks since 7 October.

The rally took after the first Friday prayer of Ramadan in front of the Al-Husseini Mosque in the center of the capital, Amman under the slogan “To Break the Siege of Starvation… A Land Bridge to Northern Gaza,” at the invitation of the “National Forum for Supporting Resistance and Protecting Jordan.”

The participants renewed their support for the people of Gaza, the resistance, and those stationed at Al-Aqsa Mosque, demanding lifting of the siege on both.

Demonstrators raised slogans condemning the aggression on the Gaza Strip and the genocide committed by the Israeli occupation, which has claimed the lives of over one hundred thousand Palestinians, including martyrs and casualties so far.

They also condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ prevention of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from accessing the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and praying therein, warning of the Judaization steps taken by the occupation in occupied Jerusalem amid the world’s preoccupation with the massacres in the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators chanted several slogans, including “With our souls and blood, we sacrifice for you, O Al-Aqsa… With our souls and blood, we sacrifice for you, O Gaza,” and “No American bases on Jordanian soil.
