Five killed due to random airdrops of aid in Gaza

GAZA, March 08 (YPA) – At least five citizens were killed on Friday as a result of the random airdrop of aid west of Gaza City, the government media in Gaza said.

Palestinian sources had previously stated that five citizens, including two children, were killed and 11 others were injured as a result of aid boxes falling from a plane without “parachutes opening” over the heads of citizens west of Gaza City.

Gaza City recently witnessed airdrops of aid carried out by Egypt and Jordan with participation from the United States of America, which supports the continuation of the Israeli aggression against Gaza and provides weapons to the Israeli entity to commit more crimes against civilians.

The government media in Gaza confirmed that airdrops of aid are useless and that they would not be an alternative to opening the crossings and bringing humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
