UN warns Zionist entity against attacking Rafah

GENEVA, March 08 (YPA) – The spokesman for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Gaza, Ajit Songa, warned on Friday that crimes against humanity may be committed by the Israeli army in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

This came in Songa’s statements during a press conference held in Geneva, Friday.

Songa said, “When we talk about the heinous crimes that could be committed and were committed in Gaza, we mean in particular crimes against humanity, and that the Israeli attack on the city of Rafah could lead to crimes against humanity being committed, and this should not happen.”

The spokesman for the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Jeremy Lawrence, also confirmed in the press conference that “the United Nations is also deeply concerned about the possibility of Israel restricting Palestinian access to Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds, which could lead to further tensions.”
