Biden declines to comment on possibility of launching negotiations with Russian president

WOELD, March 02 (YPA) – US President Joe Biden declined to comment on possibility of contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin and on prospects for negotiating a resolution of the crisis over Ukraine.

Asked by a reporter whether it was time to launch negotiations with Putin over Ukraine, Biden said: “With Putin? In Ukraine?”

The Russian leadership has consistently declared that Moscow is ready to negotiate over Ukraine, but taking into account the realities on the ground and Russian security interests.

It also stressed that the “victory of the West” over Russia is an illusion and those who know history and geography can reflect, and that the security agreements between the West and Kiev are a continuation of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s farce.
