Economic deterioration sparks angry protests in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 26 (YPA) – A protest rally was staged on Monday in the city of Aden, south of Yemen, against the high cost of living due to the economic deterioration.

In the rally, organized in front of Al-Ma’ashiq Palace, dozens of participants demand an adjustment to the deteriorating living conditions for years.

The demonstrators denounced the deteriorating living and economic conditions and the continued collapse of the local currency in the southern provinces.

They held the so-called Saudi-formed Presidential Council, and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council, the full responsible for the economic collapse, which turned the lives of citizens into hell.

The rally called for urgent solutions to save the collapse of the local currency and also the high prices that the southern provinces witnessed.
