Defense Minister: Yemen has restored to Red Sea, Arabian Sea their identity  

SANAA, Feb. 25 (YPA) – Minister of Defense in the Sanaa government, Major General Muhammad Nasser Al-Atifi, said that Yemeni military equation for the naval forces came to restore to the Red Sea and Arabian Sea their identity, which had been hijacked by the Zionists and those swirling in the orbit of global Zionism.

This came in a speech he delivered on Sunday on the occasion of the end of a course for brigade, battalion, and company commanders of the reserve forces in the Fifth Military Region.

The defense minister confirmed that “the maritime security in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea was properly reformulated after the abolition of the Zionist orgy in these seas, which had always been a source of constant threat.”

Major General Al-Atifi reaffirmed the position of Yemen and its armed forces not to intercept any ships except those of the Zionist enemy entity, stressing that the shipping lane is secure.

He also stressed that “America, Britain, and Israel must realize that the method of reducing geography and claiming guardianship of the seas has become an unacceptable and unwelcome method.”

The defense minister explained that Sanaa is committed to all international charters and covenants that do not affect Yemeni dignity and sovereignty or impose guardianship or hegemony.
