Abdulsalam comments on EU’s naval mission announcement

SANAA, Feb. 20 (YPA) -The head of the national negotiating delegation, Mohammad Abdusalam, has commented on the announcement by the European Union to launch a naval mission to protect Israel-linked ships.

“As for some European countries, they should have directed their pressure on the “Israeli” entity to stop its aggression on the Gaza Strip instead of being swayed by the dark American propaganda. There is no danger to international or European navigation as long as there are no aggressive operations from them, thus eliminating the need for the militarization of the Red Sea, Abdusalam said in a post on the “X” platform.

He added, “What the world is eagerly waiting for is not the militarization of the Red Sea, but rather an urgent and comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza for humanitarian reasons that are obvious to everyone.”

Abdulslam continued: “The “Israeli” entity would not have continued its crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza were it not for the blind support from the American, British, and some European parties.”

He reiterated that international navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas and the Bab Al-Mandab Strait is safe, and ships from all over the world pass through peacefully, with the exception of “Israeli” ships or those heading to ports in occupied Palestine.
