BRUSSELS, Feb. 19 (YPA) – Ireland has supported the imposition of sanctions on Zionist settlers who commit violence in the West Bank.
Ireland’s Foreign Minister, Michael Martin, explained that his country does not object to this measure. He stressed, before the meeting of European Union foreign ministers, the necessity of reaching a consensus in the European Union regarding imposing sanctions on the perpetrators of violence among “Israeli” settlers in the West Bank.
Martin expressed his regret that “unity and consensus” had not been achieved within the Foreign Affairs Council so far, describing what ordinary people in the Gaza Strip were experiencing as “hell on earth.”
