Death toll from Israeli aggression on Gaza exceeds 29,000 martyrs, and 69,000 injured

GAZA, Feb. 19 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Monday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 29,092 martyrs, in addition to 69,028 wounded since October 7, 2023.

In its statement, the Ministry confirmed that the Israeli occupation committed nine massacres against Palestinian families in the past 24 hours, killing 107 martyrs and wounding 145 people, noting a number of victims are still under rubble and on the roads, and the occupation is preventing ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them.

Regarding the humanitarian and health crisis amid the continuation of the aggression for the 136th day, the Ministry confirmed that the occupation forces are still besieging the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and have turned it into a military barracks.

The ministry indicated that the electrical generator in this medical complex will stop working within a maximum of two days, warning that this exposes 25 medical staff and 136 patients to danger and leaves them without electricity, without water, without food, without oxygen, and without treatment capabilities.

The statement confirmed that the hospitals in the north running out of fuel will lead to their complete paralysis after they had partially operated during the past few weeks, while the occupation remains stubborn in the arrival of medical aid and fuel.

In its statement, the Ministry reiterated its call on all international bodies to continuously pressure the occupation to bring fuel and medical aid to hospitals, especially hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip.
